Write to Transform Programme
This course is designed for two kinds of participants – those that want to work in their own lives with a suitable and qualified practitioner of both writing and the therapeutic aspect of writing, and those who are therapists who want to work with writing prompts in their facilitation.
The only qualification for this course is enthusiasm and a mind that is open. It engages with life cycles and takes an approach that we have to work with where we are, to get to where we wish to be.
It is a four part course, one session per quarter, of four hours duration. The ideas behind each module are that a journey is taken, in a day, year, a decade and a life.
Participants write reflectively and keep journals in between sessions, as well as developing their stories. They will engage as writers and as a result demystify the writing process and become familiar with ongoing creative engagement.
They will learn to work with the work of others through question rather than critical opinion, which is how this method differs from other writing approaches and responses.
They will complete a learning journal of this experience and a portfolio of the prompts given and their own responses to prompts. They will examine transformational writing as a means of expression for everyone, not just those who want to write.
Transformational writing changes lives and brings out greater stories than writing to set form can access. It is a laser beam into the subconscious and the wealth of words waiting.
The key one being participants come to these programmes not for therapy but the opportunity to express what their life journey is so far. Two and half hours of facilitation, one half hour break to eat, food and words belong together, and one hour of silent writing, are the keynotes of this course.
Cost: 120 euros per session. Participants commit to one session at a time.
This course is a one to one only currently and facilitated in the Cabin.
In future Suzanne can take this course, or an individual session, to different settings.
